EV charger installation in Sydney is what EV Install Charging does day in, day out. We are licensed electricians who moved into electric vehicle charging as a specialty back in 2017, so when you book us you are not getting a general sparky guessing at an unfamiliar product — you are getting someone who understands the chargers, the cars and the wiring rules that tie them together. Every install below is carried out and certified to the AS/NZS 3000 wiring standard, with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work handed over on completion.
The right charger for your home depends on three things: your electrical supply, your vehicle and how you actually use the car. Most Sydney homes are single-phase, which comfortably supports a 7.4kW charger that adds roughly 40km of range per hour and fully charges almost any EV overnight. Homes with three-phase supply can run faster 11kW or 22kW units, though many vehicles cap their onboard AC charging anyway — so a bigger charger is not always money well spent. We confirm what you have, what your car can accept, and recommend the right size rather than overselling. That honest, right-sized approach is the difference between a charger that suits you and one that simply cost more.
Every service starts the same way: a free on-site assessment. We check your switchboard capacity and spare ways, confirm whether you are on single or three phase, measure the cable run, agree where the charger should be mounted, then give you a fixed written quote. If your switchboard or main supply needs upgrading before a charger can go in safely, that is Level 2 ASP work — we do not hold a Level 2 ASP licence and never pretend to. Instead we coordinate it through trusted Level 2 ASP partner electricians and manage the process for you, so you deal with one accountable company rather than chasing two trades.
