EV Install was founded in 2017 with a single, deliberately narrow focus: doing electric vehicle charging properly. Plenty of general electricians will bolt a charger on a wall, but a charger is only as good as the supply, the switchboard and the circuit behind it — and getting those fundamentals right is where experience shows. We are licensed Sydney electricians who treat EV charging as a specialty, not a sideline.
Since then we've installed home chargers in garages, carports and apartment car parks, and delivered larger commercial, strata and fleet charging across the city. Every installation is completed to the AS/NZS 3000 wiring standard, you receive a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work, and the job is backed by our 12 months on all workmanship. Where a property needs a switchboard or main-supply upgrade, we coordinate that through trusted Level 2 ASP partner electricians so you deal with one accountable company.

Nathan Dawson — Founder & Lead EV Installer
Nathan has been a licensed electrician for the better part of two decades, cutting his teeth on everything from residential rewires and switchboard upgrades to commercial fit-outs and industrial maintenance across Sydney. That broad grounding matters with EV work, because a charger is only as good as the supply and the board behind it, and Nathan has spent years getting those fundamentals right.
He moved into EV charging as a specialty back in 2017, when the first wave of electric cars started landing in Sydney driveways and most sparkies were still treating chargers as an afterthought. Since then he has installed home chargers in garages, carports and apartment car parks, as well as larger commercial and fleet jobs, and has watched the technology mature firsthand. Nathan takes a grounded, practical view of Australia's switch to EVs: he is not here to sell anyone a dream, just to do a clean, compliant install that charges your car reliably for years and stays out of the way the rest of the time.
