The portable cable supplied with most EVs (often called a granny cable) only draws around 1.8 to 2.4kW from a standard power point and can take well over 24 hours for a full charge. For regular home charging we recommend a dedicated Level 2 wall charger, which is faster, safer for daily use and properly installed on its own circuit.
Single-phase supply powers a 7.4kW charger, which adds roughly 40km of range per hour and suits most homes. Three-phase supply allows faster 11kW or 22kW charging and is common in larger homes and commercial sites. We check which supply you have during the assessment and recommend the right charger.
Most home installations are completed in a single visit of around 2 to 4 hours. Jobs with long cable runs, conduit work or switchboard attention take longer, and commercial projects are scheduled over one or more days depending on scale.
Yes. Every installation is completed to the AS/NZS 3000 wiring standard by licensed electricians, and we provide a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work on completion. We also register your charger for its manufacturer warranty.
A typical home Level 2 (7.4kW) charger supplied and installed in Sydney commonly costs between $1,200 and $2,200 in 2026, depending on the cable run length and charger model. A basic labour-only install with a short run can be under roughly $1,000 if you supply the charger, while three-phase chargers, longer runs and any switchboard upgrade cost more.
Yes. All work is performed by licensed electricians. We hold $20 million in public liability insurance, and every job is completed to the AS/NZS 3000 standard.
